New Arts, Commerce and Science College, Parner by offering quality education to the poor and downtrodden masses for last four decades, satisfied the vision and mission of parent institute. It is evident from its remarkable achievements in terms of recognitions and prestigious awards. College through its various academic, research and extension activities has come up with a leading institute in rural area of Ahmednagar district. This is the only A grade accredited college of this tehsil. The college has made sincere efforts for the holistic development of students with the motto “Tejo Si Tejo me Dehi.” The initiatives taken have resulted in a continuous increase of student enrolment from just hundred at the time of inception to about 3000 today. The college is well aware of its importance of need based regional, national and global level studies. College has focused on approach of pursuing excellence and becoming more inclusive while progressing with quality enhancement and sustenance that is evident from the overall progress of college during last two decades since accreditation activities started.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) established on 15.12.2000 contributing largely to ensure quality culture and sustenance. It works to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic measures for the academic and administrative performances of the college. The benchmarks set by the IQAC helped college to strengthen its teaching-learning process and administrative services to all the stakeholders.

Set by the examples, College has emerged with a great potential to accept challenges with the active help its assets. This is clearly evident from the activities of college during COVID 19 pandemic. Being rural college, in spite of all difficulties at the level of students, HEI put tremendous participative efforts to reach at all learners and continued teaching although there was paradigm shift of learning mode and ensured that nobody will miss to continue education. As an outcome, the student strength is still increasing and will continue to increase. College with the help of stakeholders, contributing largely to reach to the community to encourage and help them in post COVID life through an ‘Aarogyadeep’ survey and visits to affected families.

Our leadership has long vision of future of stakeholders, provides education in developing areas in line with the National Education Policy 2020 ensuring inclusion of all sections of society. College started with 06 undergraduate programmes, we have now 32 including 11 post-graduate and 04 PhD research programmes across three disciplines with 80 % recruited teaching positions. College fulfilled the recommendations made by peer team satisfactorily and strengthened TLE. The objectives of NEP are the guiding principles of next perspective plan, HEI is ready to implement with inclusion of few new courses integrating Indian knowledge system.

College has a great desire to achieve an autonomous status and to be a part of cluster university of Ahmednagar Jilha Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, Ahmednagar.
